Training Pramila studied Agricultural Sciences at Purbanchal University, Nepal and was awarded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship from the European Union to pursue a Masters in Sustainable International Agriculture at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.
Career From November 2010 Pramila worked for six months in Rupandehi district of Nepal for International Development Enterprises-Nepal as an intern. Then, from June, 2011 she worked for Centre for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED) for fourteen months as an Agriculture Officer. From August 2012 to October 2013, she worked for Terai Development Forum, Nepal, as District Program Officer.
Research Interests
Currently Pramila is doing research within the frame of the Trans-SEC project on the functioning of Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) of farmer group innovations in Tanzania. Her research takes a special interest in how social factors, such as gender, influence PM&E and innovation processes.
Working Experience in Trans-SEC
From August to November 2015, Pramila conducted her field research using Participatory Action Research methods, facilitating the development of PM&E processes with four farmer groups in Tanzania. She also gained experience in conducting semi-structured interviews, Most Significant Change and Participatory Video workshops.
