Training Eva studied agricultural sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin (Bsc) and subsequently completed her MSc in Sustainable International Agriculture at the Universities of Göttingen and Kassel.
Career Eva did an internship at the GIZ offices in Berlin, Germany, and Lodwar, Northern Kenya. In 2015 and 2016, she worked as a Junior Expert for Food and Nutrition Security in projects of Welthungerhilfe in South Sudan, Uganda and Iraq. In 2017, Eva was employed as a Programme Officer for South Sudan and Sudan at Caritas Switzerland’s head office in Switzerland.
Research Her main interest is in transdisciplinary and collaborative research and learning, especially in tropical livestock production systems. In her MSc thesis, Eva conducted an activity and knowledge analysis with small-scale dairy farmers in Nakuru County Kenya within the research project 'Reduction of Post-harvest Losses and Value Addition' under supervision of DITSL. In her PhD research, she will look at opportunities for scaling of innovative and successful examples of collaborative research and learning.
Experience abroad
Eva conducted the 3-month fieldwork for her Master thesis within the research project 'Reduction of Post-harvest Losses and Value Addition' in Nakuru County, Kenya. For other experience abroad see "Career".
